Military memoirs: first battle, injury and return to duty

During my mandatory service, my hands moved automatically. My first combat mission was in Stelmakhivka. It was relatively quiet, but the next one, near Bakhmut, was anything but. Hot is the only word to describe it. Enemy fire of all calibers was a serious test. Then came the injury. The hospital. And back into the ranks.
