Information emerged (unconfirmed) that on January 14, two Russian aircraft—the A-50 AEW&C plane and the Il-22 airborne command post—were damaged by fire over the Sea of Azov. According to preliminary reports, the A-50 aircraft was shot down. The Il-22 was also reportedly affected.
