Serhiy Nihoyan was 20 years old, a Ukrainian citizen of Armenian descent. His family had moved to Ukraine to escape the war in Nagorno-Karabakh. He dreamed of becoming an actor. He joined the Maidan in early December 2013 because he 'understood what he should be for.'
