18 NATO Nations to Meet 2% GDP Defense Spending Target

This year, 18 NATO member states plan to allocate 2% of GDP to defense. This will be a sixfold increase since 2014, when only three NATO countries reached the target. Overall, according to Stoltenberg, NATO members in Europe plan to invest $380 billion in defense in 2024.
