On June 18, Kyiv bid farewell to Valentyn Korenchuk, a pilot with the 40th Tactical Aviation Brigade, with the call sign "Bdzholiar," who was among the first to defend Kyiv in air battles. He was killed in late April while carrying out a combat mission.
