This is exactly what Putin wants.
To negotiate how big of a chunk of Ukraine he gets + sanctions lifted as a result of direct talks with USA after failing his invasion, then scaring he'll nuke West if left with nothing. Only for RU to attack again in near future & annihilate UA.
