Since the beginning of 2024, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have destroyed and damaged 3,179 Russian tanks worth approximately $9 billion, Ukraine's Defense Ministry reported. Most of the tanks were destroyed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on May 12 – 31 units, which amounts to a whole tank battalion.
