The governments of the United Kingdom and Japan have pledged $1 billion in financial support to Ukraine, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has announced. The funds were provided under guarantees from these countries' governments through the World Bank's Development Policy Loan (DPL) program.
