Ukraine receives $1 billion from US frozen Russian assets as first tranche

Ukraine has received $1 billion from the United States from frozen Russian assets, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reports. This is the first tranche of the planned $20 billion that the United States is ready to allocate from frozen Russian assets under the G7 initiative.
