On 30 December, 189 Ukrainian prisoners of war (POWs) returned home ahead of New Year. Many of the released prisoners had spent over two and a half years in Russian captivity. The defenders have acute chronic illnesses, consequences of mine-explosive injuries, and severe wounds.
