For me, one of the key symbols of February 24, 2022, is Vitalii Skakun of Ukraine's 137th Marines. In the earliest hours of Russia's full-scale invasion, he sacrificed his life to blow up a bridge near the city of Henichesk, between occupied Crimea and mainland Ukraine, to delay the enemy advance.
