Over the past two months, Russian gains in Ukraine have been slowing down, even with North Korean troops fighting in Kursk and massive efforts to take Pokrovsk. Now, Ukraine appears to have launched a counterattack in Toretsk. Ukraine is certainly not in a hopeless position on the front.
