In March 2022, during talks in Istanbul, Russia occupied 30% of Ukraine, and Kyiv appeared on the verge of falling. Today, after three years of all-out war, 900,000 Russian casualties, and massive support from its allies, Russia occupies just 19% of Ukraine.
