The strike on a Russian command post in Korenevo, Kursk Oblast, killed Major General Mikhail Gudkov, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy. He also served as commander of the 155th Separate Guards Marine Brigade. At least 10 other senior Russian officers were also killed.
