Former Defense Minister Rustem Umerov has been appointed Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has tasked Umerov and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal with reviewing 'hundreds' of agreements with international partners.
