Advances around Pokrovsk had been attributed to Russian diversionary-reconnaissance groups. However, these are often just small assault infantry units of 2, 4, or 6 men, or motorcycle/buggy teams, which can bypass the porous defensive lines if they manage to evade drone surveillance.
