Vasyl Davydian: Three Years in Captivity and a New Life

At 18, Vasyl Davydian from Bukovyna became a machine gunner. At 20, he was captured near Melitopol. For over three years, he endured torture, hunger, and memory loss in Russian captivity. Freed on May 6, 2025, he now aspires to be a jeweler. The phoenix on his neck is a mark of his survival.
