Russia’s 2022 Ukraine Invasion Plan Fails

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine after eight years of conflict in the east. The plan aimed for a swift regime change: assassinate Zelensky, seize Kyiv, install a puppet government, rewrite the constitution, weaken Ukraine’s military, and station Russian troops. It failed.
