12 years ago, on 18 March 2014, Serhiy Kokurin became the first serviceman killed by the occupiers in the modern russian-Ukrainian war. He died defending his unit in Crimea from russian occupiers. His heroism and loyalty to his oath became a symbol of the fight for Ukraine.
