Roman Bathhouses’ Influence on Arab Hammam Architecture

The Arabs took the idea of bathhouses from the Roman ones they found during their conquests. They directly adopted the same style of architecture and central heating systems from Roman thermae. There's even a Roman bathhouse still in use today – the Hammam Essalihine in Algeria.
