Ukraine’s WWII sacrifice ignored by Russia’s Victory Day display

On 9 May 2026, Russia celebrates "Victory Day" to commemorate the end of WWII in Europe. Moscow's display ignores the sacrifices of 7.5 million Ukrainians who fought in the Red Army that defeated Hitler, millions of whom died. Many of the survivors came home wounded.
