The territory was not "empty" and you're insulting the Ukrainians by suggesting they took it without a fight. That's absolutely not the case. There's been heavy fighting and many casualties in all those areas. I'd suggest you inform yourself better before opining.

That's absolutely not the case, as the map below shows. This is from *before* the recent Russian withdrawals. The reclaimed territory on this map was the result of Ukrainian counteroffensives in many areas, not just Irpin.
