Captured by Ukrainian defenders in Mariupol, a Russian sergeant and senior anti-tank platoon operator from the 810th Separate Marine Battalion of the Russian Armed Forces admitted he had no desire to deploy there. Refusal could mean up to 10 years in prison. He was among roughly 700–800 Russian servicemen who arrived with him.

Ombudsman: 3 journalists killed during Russia's full-scale war in Ukraine. Three journalists were killed in Mykolaiv, Kyiv, and Irpin, according to Lyudmyla Denisova. Many journalists have been deliberately injured by the Russian forces since Feb. 24, she said.
