In Lviv, Ukrainians pay respects to four troops killed in Russia’s missile attack on the military base in Yavoriv. Among the dead was Kyrylo Vyshyvaniy, whose brother was killed on March 3 in another Russian attack. Their heartbroken mother cried as she followed her older son’s casket.
Since the start of the war, Russians have launched over 900 missiles of various types and sizes at Ukrainian territory. Yesterday, the Russian troops hit central Kharkiv with two missiles, other districts were attacked using MLRS Smerch, a 26-year-old man was killed, a woman was wounded, according to Oleh Synehubov, head of Kharkiv Oblast Administration.
Ukrzaliznytsia will nationalize Russian-owned freight wagons in Ukraine under a recently adopted law permitting the seizure of Russian property in the country. Oleksandr Kamyshin, acting head of the state railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia, stated that there are 15,000 such wagons in Ukraine.
Ukraine is under martial law at the moment, so this person will presumably be getting a court-martial rather than a civilian trial. But as Ukraine abolished the death penalty in 2000, the maximum sentence that can be imposed is 15 years imprisonment.
